Although money can offer short-term motivation, its effectiveness can decrease over time. Recent studies suggest a shift, especially among younger generations, towards non-financial motivators like making a difference, having a sense of purpose, and work recognition. To maintain motivation, employers should focus on both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards alongside creating a motivating work environment.
